Fiction Friday: Married ’til Monday

Cara Fiction Friday 32 Comments

Denise Hunter writes emotional romances. Married ’til Monday perfectly fits that model. In Married ’til Monday the reader gets pulled into Ryan McKinley’s broken marriage — he didn’t want it to end…in fact he’s bought his ex-wife’s dream home in some delusional attempt to live the dream. Abby is getting ready to move far away in what she thinks is her dream job. But then she has to go home. And Ryan has to come with her. Because her parents don’t know they are divorced.

And so the framework for the romance is established. Ryan and Abby are both broken, and healing between them isn’t possible until each takes steps toward personal healing. I wanted to cheer for and encourage the characters, especially Abby, as they must choose which paths to take. It is a story of choice and pain that so many can relate to…yet ultimately it is a story of restoration of what has been horribly broken. Of the healing of a soul that has never been truly loved and doesn’t know how to respond to love. It is a story of healing and hope in a hopeless situation. And because it’s a Denise Hunter book, it’s also got the perfect kiss.

As I’ve been unpacking I’ve discovered a slew of books I would love to give away. Be sure to enter the form below for the first stack! It’s anice mix of authors and genres. Then come back the next couple weeks for more stacks of giveaways. Here are the books in this giveaway…book bundle 1

  1. My favorite book right now is Secrets She Kept by Cathy Gohlke. I finished it awhile ago, but the truth that came from reading that story about forgiveness still haunts me. I highly recommend her book. I love World War II and suspense novels, so this was right up my alley. God bless! Have a great day, Cara!

  6. It’s impossible to pick a favorite book, but I did just finish Kate Breslin’s Not by Sight and it was incredibly good. I’d highly recommend it. I really need to read Married Til Monday soon! I’ve loved the rest of the series.

  7. My favorite book tends to be what I’m reading or just finished 🙂 In this case, Refuge of the Heart by Ruth Logan Herne and The Sweetest Rain by Myra Johnson.

  8. Right now I’m in the first chapters of “A Plain Choice” by Sherry Gore. So that’s my favorite today, and it just happens to be an awesome story.

  9. I’m reading Bear Trap by Edna Curry. I just started it so I can’t say if it’s going to be a favorite or not.

  10. I just started reading Bear Trap by Edna Curry. I don’t know if it’s a favorite or not because I just started reading it.

  11. It would be hard to pick a favorite book. Like others have said,it’s usually the book I am currently reading. Right now,I am reading Beneath a Southern Sky,by Deborah Raney. I also read recently Letters From My Father’s Murderer,by Laurie Coombs. While I can’t say this is a favorite, because it is intense, and a sad story,it is also a true story of hope, forgiveness, and the power of the Gospel. It had me thinking and proved to be a positive read for me.

  12. Too hard to pick a fave, however, the one I just finished (and loved) – is Ruth Logan Herne’s ‘Refuge of the Heart’!!

Thanks for the giveaway opportunity – some wonderful books!!

  13. It’s hard to pick a favorite book. I would say at the moment my favorite book is Brightest and Best by Olivia Newport. I just finished reading this book and I didn’t think I would like it. The opposite happen and it’s a great book. Thank you for the opportunity of this wonderful giveaway.

  14. It is too difficult to choose a favorite. I have been purposefully reading new authors’ books. A few of the new ones I’ve read are Linda Lael Miller’s “Two Brothers”, Maggie Shayne’s “Thicker Than Water”, and Diane Mott Davidson’s “Dying For Chocolate”. I have also just completed Karen Kingbury’s Sunrise Series.

  15. My favorite book is whatever one I happen to be reading! Right now I’m in the middle of reading to review Naomi Rawlings “Love’s Every Whisper” (not yet released). It’s the second book of her Eagle Harbor series. Next up is the yet-to-be released “The Lost Heiress” by Roseanna White to review. Not sure what’s next, depends on my reading mood 🙂 Might be in the mood for a suspence, a Love Inspired one!
Thank you for the chance at a great book bundle, Cara!

  16. I am currently reading Justified by Varina Denman. Love her writing style!! Also, just finished Married ‘Til Monday by Denise Hunter. Loved this whole series and just bought it for my church library. Truthfully, my favorite book is usually the one I’m currently reading and I ALWAYS have at least one in the works.

  17. Two very good recent reads of mine are ‘Water From My Heart’ by Charles Martin and ‘A Love Like ours by Beck Wade!
