I really enjoy these books. They contain great insight on the way men and women think. Let’s face it, we’re a mystery to each other. As I skimmed For Men Only, I found myself nodding. The insights really do apply to women.

Not only do I read them to better understand my husband and myself. They’re great resources for writers. Writers need to be students of people, and talk about ammunition to get those romantic conflicts nailed. These books highlight the key areas for misunderstanding between men and women. Here’s more on them…

Since their debut, these revolutionary guides have sold well over a million copies, been translated into fifteen languages, and sparked much fascinating water-cooler conversation around the country. Now together in the For Couples Only boxed set, these books provide the perfect resource to help you understand what you never knew about the woman or man in your life.

Each volume is based on input from more than a thousand members of the opposite sex—including an unprecedented nationwide survey and hundreds of personal interviews. This innovative approach yields candid and surprising answers about everything you don’t “get” about your significant other—even what that person deeply wishes you knew. It also produces simple but groundbreaking awareness of how you can best love and support the one who is most important to you.

So whether you are newly dating or have been married fifty years, get ready to know each other in a whole new way. The adventure is just beginning!

Leave a comment letting me know the most surprising thing you’ve learned about men and women — clean of course — and I’ll enter you to win either a copy of For Men Only or For Women Only.

  1. Both of these books are really, really good! One very surprising thing that I’ve found about men is that as husbands they really want us as wives to NOT assume they heard us the first time!

  2. Boys are MESSY! I mean, I knew they were messy but I didn’t realize how messy until I went to empty the trash in the men’s room at the office one day. Somewhere under the mound of wadded up paper towels I eventually found the trashcan.

  3. My husband actually likes it when I remind him about something he has told me he will take care of for me. He tends to immerse himself in several different things at once and he’ll completely forget that I asked him to switch the laundry while I was gone or load the dishwasher. He tells me that he genuinely wants to help, he just gets distracted 2 minutes after I mention something. LOL

Luckily, we’ve both adjusted to it and he’s getting better at remembering as well. Instead of getting annoyed with him now, I just ask him again later if he was still planning to take care of whatever it was. 99% of the time he’ll jump up and do it then. If I were to just start doing it myself, he is irritated with himself for forgetting.

Sheesh, what a long rambling story just to say that I was surprised that my DH likes to be reminded to do something he’s said he will do for me. Seems like a nag to me, but he assures me it is different. LOL!

  4. I was surprised after having kids that they didn’t comsume my husband’s every thought like they did mine. It would of been so difficult for me to go back to work and leave my babies. but not so for men. God just wired them differently so that they can provide for their family.
I would love to win For Men Only 🙂

  5. These books are unique and wonderful. Thanks for this great giveaway. Men concentrate on one thing at a time, while women can do many and varied things at once. Due to having children and the responsibilities at home.

  6. Men don’t care what size you are as long as you do the best you can with what you have. They just want you to take pride in yourself because they do too.

  7. These books are interesting and intriguing. As far as men are concerned men can nap anytime, anywhere and at the drop of a hat. Thanks for this lovely chance.

  8. These books are great. The men I know do not do well in the house, in other words in the kitchen and other domestic duties. But as handymen they are good.
