Along Wooded Paths Review & Giveaway

Cara giveaway, reviews; 15 Comments

Usually I don’t read many Amish books.

I’m not sure why because I usually enjoy them when I read one.

Every once in awhile I read a book that draws me in as a reader and challenges me as a writer. Along Wooded Paths is such a book. The story is gripping, the characters are so well drawn I hated to see this book end. The faith element challenged me to deepen my walk with God. Along Wooded Paths is a beautiful story that will compel you to consider what God really asks of us.

Fun side note: my daughter squealed when this book arrived. Since reading
the first book, she has asked me repeatedly when Along Wooded Paths released. It’s here, and she is a happy camper.

Although proud of living apart from the world, Marianna Sommer’s newly relocated Amish family is discovering that life in the remote mountains of Montana requires working together with the Englisch.
As Marianna pours her life into helping those around her-and receiving their help-her heart further considers two directions. She’s torn between the Amish man from Indiana whom she has long planned on marrying and the friendly Englischer who models a close walk with God like she’s never seen before.
Who should have young Marianna’s heart? What is God asking of her through ongoing family struggles and this romantic and spiritual tension? The answer is found along the wooded paths.

If you would like to read this book, watch the video and then leave a comment about what intrigues you. I have one copy to send to a reader. By the way, this is part of the first scene…

  1. I have to read this book! I need to find out who Marianna Summer chooses to give her heart too. The trailer was good. Will Aaron Zook get hurt in the process?

I would love to win a copy of this book!

    God Bless,

  2. Like your daughter, I was anxious to read this book before I watched the trailer just because I had read BESIDE STILL WATERS. After watching it though, my heart goes out to Aaron. He is at a crossroads that many of us have been before. Do we dare to lay all of our soul at the feet of someone we love and take a chance of not having our love returned. He knows the hurt he has caused Naomi, and knows he could feel that same pain if Marianna does not return his feelings in kind. My heart aches to know… donnaeharmon@yahoo.com

  3. The stack of letters intrigues me. I want to know what they say. I want to know what happens.

Thank you so much for the chance to win this. I would love to read this.

  4. Tricia Goyer is a new author to me; and let me say I am intrigued by the trailer. I think I will need to read “Beside Still Waters” first. From the book description and the trailer this book seems a bit different. Usually it is the female in the story that has a big decision to make between two potential loves. I like the twist of Aaron needing to find his true love as well. Very intriguing….

I would love to read it and give a review. Thanks for the opportunity!!

  5. I don’t know if I’d say that this intrigued me, but it did get my attention… I can’t believe that Aaron’s mother told him “that marriage did not take love.” I know I wouldn’t tell my daughters that because “till death do you part” is ever so much better when there’s love. I do know a couple that were an arranged marriage and now through the years they have learned to love each other, but I know it was difficult for her through the years.

I want to read how it turns out! I’d love to read it for free, so thank you for offering this chance to win.

  7. I really enjoy books written by Tricia Goyer! Her WWII books fascinated me because my 93 year old dad is a veteran of WWII. There is a small Amish Community about 90 minutes from where I live and their way of life has always fascinated me!
The book trailer was very good and I know I would enjoy reading Along
    Wooded Paths…
    Many thanks, Cindi
