Happy Valentine’s Day! Today, the Grove Story is launching! Woot! I’m so very excited about this endeavor and hope you’ll join my friends and me as we dig deeper into our stories and our God. These women are truly sisters of my heart, and it’s a thrill to work with them on this project.

Because I love romance and hearts and Valentine’s Day, I’m giving away a copy of Shadowed by Grace. This story is set in Italy during World War II. It’s much more than a hunt for stolen art, an unknown father or a romance. It’s the story of Rachel Justice coming to realize her life has been shadowed by God’s hand — even when she wasn’t looking and the impact that reality has on her.

It’s super easy to enter the giveaway for this book…just use the form below. And don’t forget that right now Shadowed by Grace is on ebook sale for 99 cents at Amazon and cbd.com.

  1. My favorite Valentine is meeting my husband back in ’96 at this time of year. And his birthday is 10 days before Valentine’s Day.

  3. I’ve never had a Valentine present haha.

But anyways, I won your Shadowed by Grace and Monuments Men giveaway last year. Loved the book and loved the movie! 🙂 Thanks!

  4. My favorite Valentine was the year we had very little money. My husband went out to our yard and picked a bouquet of dandelions for me. This was straight from the heart ! I cherish this more than the fancy gifts he gives me now !

  5. My favorite Valentine this year is the one my 5 year old son gave me. On the front it had a big heart on it and read “Guess how much I love you?” Inside he had drawn a picture of himself with his arms outstretched and his cutout handprints glued on and said “This much!” It was so adorable!

  6. Because of the big Boston snowfall this year, I’ll share from the storm of 1978, when I was in IA and my fiancé in a Boston seminary. Busy delivering groceries and transporting people w/the National Guard, he
still remembered to send me rose, my very first. That showed me a lot about his–and God’s–love.

And Cara, I’m writing a WWII series, too. So excited to read your new book!

  7. My favorite Valentine is my first Valentine’s Day when I was married. I stopped to get gas and bought a flower for my husband. When I got home, he had also bought an identical flower for me – at the same place! It was special because we knew each other so well to pick out identical gifts. (It came from the gas station because we were seminary students and didn’t have much money 🙂 )
