Okay, please don’t be too jealous, but while we were in Germany, I got to read When a Heart Stops— before it was in print. That was Lynette’s gift to me 🙂 Now I’m going to gift one person with these two books. The third isn’t out yet — but it’s a goodie! So this will give you a chance to get caught up on the series before the third releases in the spring. Both are romantic suspense ala Dee Henderson and Irene Hannon.

I think my favorite Christmas tradition is making homemade ornaments every year and looking at the ones we have made in years previous
I’ve read about these books on my Kindle and thought they sounded good. Can’t believe I’m only the second commenter!
Fave family tradition? I come from a huge family! 3 aunts, 1 uncle plus spouses, 21 cousins plus spouses (I’m the only unmarried cousin), 17 2nd cousins w/ only 1 spouse and 1 toddler! There’s enough food to feed a 3rd world country, and we do “white elephant” gift exchange which used to be gift no one wanted but now we bring stuff that we like @ $20 limit (iTunes, Amazon, Starbucks gift cards, movie passes, Craftsman tools-the guys, etc) that way there’s no regifting! It gets LOUD but whereever we get together you can see and feel the love and joy from a block away! It’s wicked amazing! Everyone should have a family that big who actually love each other and truly enjoy everyone!

Jasmine, I love making ornaments. Such a great tradition. And Kam, my family is like that. Love white elephant exchanges, but even more love the fun of being together.
My goodness my favorite tradition us now no longer because the nest has emptied this year. When my husband either going to our coming in from work would wake our kids and let them know someone had been here. That still makes my heart smile. Now it’s up in time for our grandson and going to be with him. Outside of God it has always been about our children. We love watching eyes heavy with slumber light up and delight cover their faces. Just being with our family.

A family tradition my mom started. The Sunday before Christmas we were allowed to open our stockings. As little kids, having a couple small new toys kept us occupied and not over-excited trying to wait until Christmas. Now that I’m older, I really think she was trying to keep us from underfoot, always asking how much longer until Santa arrived.
It also worked with my son.
While I don’t knot this author, I would really enjoy getting to know about the through their novles. Thank you for this drawing.

My favorite family tradition is blending my heritage with the new. Like, we have a mexican dinner on Christmas Eve, and we have a Russian breakfast the next morning… one of my favorite family traditions =D

We don’t really have a tradition but after Christmas Eve service my hubby and I like to ride around and enjoy all the decorated houses and trees. Just beautiful!

Growing up, my family always made a big outing of getting our Christmas tree. Living in the city, it meant buying it from a store, but we spent a lot of time picking out just the right one! After our parents set it up, we took time to tell the story behind each ornament we put on the tree. The majority of them were either hand made or had special meaning to us. Precious memories!

It’s decorating the tree and talking about the ornaments. We get one a year for an event in the family. And put the year on it. The girls love that they remember many of the events.

Our family box. We place things in it for each person to encourage them in their walk with the Lord (books, Bible studies, music, something w/a Scripture or inspirational quote, ect.), I love this tradition!
Favorite family tradition: Going to the Christmas program together before celebrating with extended family. Staying home the five of us all day Christmas and just relaxing.
One of our fave traditions we did with our own kids and are now continuing with our grandkids is to have them help decorate the tree, then after popcorn and hot chocolate they all sleep under the tree on sleeping bags or covers under the sparkling lights!
My favorite Christmas tradition is going up the mountains and chopping down our tree! 🙂
One of our family traditions has always been to made a time when the entire family can be together to celebrate the birth of our Lord. Family is so important to us, and with all of the expectations of other extended family members, it’s important for us to have a time when everyone can come together. My mom and I watch all the new Christmas movies plus a lot of our favorite old ones.
Every year my mom gets us a new ornament for the tree. It usually has to do with in important event that happened in our life that year.

My favorite tradition is spending the whole day with my family. We open one gift at a time, eat all day, and just enjoy each others company.
