  1. I just read the first chapter on your blog. You have me hooked. I would love to win Stars in the Night! Thanks for the chance to win. My favorite book that I have read in 2012? I just loved “The Maid of Fairbourne Hall” by Julie Klassen.

  3. This book was not published in 2012, but the book I loved the most was the Montana Marriages Trilogy by Mary Connealy. Another really good one is the one I just blogged about today, A Lasting Impression by Tamera Alexander.

  4. It’s so hard to choose a favorite book from this year since I’ve read so many good ones! One that stands out is Band of Sisters by Cathy Gohlke. It was my first time to read a book by Cathy but I don’t think it will be the last. This is a book that deals with a tough subject but it’s handled very well.
Thanks for having this giveaway. I’d love to read your book, Stars in the Night.

  5. Maaike, you can’t go wrong with Mary Connealy or Tamera. Love both those ladies and their books. Judy, I want to read Kathi, just haven’t yet. Same with Cathy, Pam K. Your recs are moving those authors up my lists.

  6. Since I have to limit it to one I would have to say Irene Hannon’s “Lethal Legacy” although there were a TON of great books this year. I think that’s the one I waited for with most anticipation. And I think 2013 is going to be an even better year for books. 🙂

  7. I think “A Love Surrendered’ by Julie Lessman was my favorite, but that could just be because I read it quite recently. I also really enjoyed ‘Wings of a Dream’ by Anne Mateer.

  8. I can’t pick just one. Love the River series by Lisa T. Bergren, the Reluctant Prophet series by Nancy Rue, anything by Neda Jackson, Jane Kirkpatrick. Just can’t pick one!

  9. Cara!
This is so fun 😀 I just signed up to follow your blog, didn’t even realize you had one. It’s funny because this sounds so much like my Christmas blogfest I’m doing on my blog right now except you have a LOT more people that comment on your blog lol. Anyway, like I said, this is very cool and I’m excited to see what else happens this month!

By the way, is Rafflecopter free? How do you go about doing it? I think it’d be a really fun way to organize my giveaways.
    Thanks!

  10. Oh my goodness … I have read so many books this year – I very much enjoyed “Full Disclosure” by Dee Henderson and “The Maid of Fairbourne Hall” by Julie Klassen. And of course … Karen Kingsbury’s “Coming Home” which made me cry so hard.

  11. Oh whoops, I forgot to answer the question too! Lol hmmmm favorite book? Fields of Grace by Kim Vogel Sawyer was one of them! I thoroughly enjoyed Mother of Pearl as well. I’m not sure, I haven’t read nearly as much this year because of all the school reading I’ve had to do lol. Kinda stinks, but it is what it is!

  12. I found so many new authors and books this year just by getting the Amazon Kindle app for my phone, including you and A Wedding Transpires…which I read right before I actually went to Mackinac Island for the first time! I can’t wait to read Stars in the Night.

I’d have to say my fave books this year have been the Sweethaven Trilogy by debut Christian author Courtney Walsh! Thanks so much for the oppurtunity to win a book or two!

  13. I have read a lot of good books this year….and I look forward to reading many more during the holiday season…gotta have some me time sometime…….babyruthmac16ATyahoo.com

  14. Been trying to get this posted but having a difficult time. I have read so many books this year that its hard to choose. Of course, I’ve read yours. Candace Calvert,Dee Henderson, Kathy Herman, Colleen Coble, Jordyn Redwood, Lynette Eason, Irene Hannon…just to name a few. All good for different reasons…hard to choose!

  15. I just finished Richard Paul Evan’s new book, ‘A Winter Dream’ and I absolutely loved it! It is a modern version of Joseph and his coat of many colors. I would recommend it to everyone! If you are familiar with the Bible story, you will enjoy it and for those who are not Bible readers, this is a wonderful introduction to the marvelous stories recorded in the Holy Bible!

  16. I have to definitely post…that one of my very favorite books of 2012 would be ‘Breaking The Code bu writer Karen Fisher-Alaniz……it well difinitely touch your heart…..babyruthmac16ATyahooDOTcom

  17. Favorite book of 2012?? Do you know how difficult of a question that is? I have read many, many books this year that God has used to touch my life and speak to me. I guess my favorite would have to be Dee Henderson’s Full Disclosure. God talked to me so much through that book that I didn’t read for three or four days because I was still processing.

  18. Y’all are adding to my reading list — love it! And love books that leave me thinking about them long after I’ve closed the pages. Soul’s Gate by Jim Rubart and Girl in the Glass by Susan Meissner were that way for me this year.

  19. Oh my goodness, I don’t know if I can choose!! I’ve discovered many new authors including yourself!! Welcomed Dee Henderson back, yay!!!, so many!!! Would love to read some of yours, sorry to say I have not. 🙁 I’m going to choose Mel Odom’s DEPLOYED. Probably a most realistic look at our troops lives and a great story!

  20. I agree with others, it is hard to pick just one when you love to read. Last year for Christmas I received several gift cards to B&N for my Nook. Decided to try new authors to me. Jamie Carie, Marguerite Benjamin Parker, and Teri Wilson, and Cara Putman to name a few. Some of my all time favorite writers include Melody Carlson, Dian Hunt(praying for her), Julie Carobini, Lauraine Snelling, and Trish Perry(just finished Tea For Two).
Thanks for the chance to win.

  21. Picking just 1 isn’t possible, so I’ll say When The Smoke Clears and When the Heart Stops by Lynette Eason. I just finished reading those, and I thoroughly enjoyed them! There were many great books, but those are fresh on my mind. Thanks for the giveaways!!!

  22. Picking a favorite from this year is going to be so hard! I have read over 220 books and over 90 of them got a 5-star rating! Some of my recent favs have been, You Don’t Know Me by Susan May Warren and Deadly Pursuit by Irene Hannon.

  23. I love to read -what would life be like without it, I would NOT want to find out, thanks for sharing your love of books. I had goal to read 100 during 2012 and have gone over by a few.
