  1. I would like to read Cornhusker Dreams as I am from Nebraska and like all books to do with there. I will have to get this book. As for the speaking part – I would like to hear you speak about bookclubs. I belong to a few online but would love to find and join one in real life. Thank you for the chance to win. griperang at embarqmail dot com

Angela, where are you from in Nebraska? The stories in Cornhusker Dreams take place in North Platte, Fort Robinson, and Holdrege.

  2. Wow, what a lovely design for your website. I particularly love the banner at the top. It is like a dream coming to life from the clouds. 😀

  3. I am finally reading Cornhusker Dreams! Just started it two days ago, and I am only a little way through, but I LOVE this story! I have never been to Nebraska, but it makes me want to go there… LOL…. I think I’d like to read your story about Mackinac Island…. 🙂

  5. All of your speaking topics look interesting, but I always love to hear from writers about writing, all the different aspects you have to go through to write a book.

  6. I’m interested in your speaking topic Writer’s Groups, Conferences, and Bookclubs. I’ve always wanted to write but have no idea where to start or even if I’d be good at it.

Heather, I love talking to writers. A great place to start is American Christian Fiction Writers (www.acfw.com)

  7. I am most interested in your speaking topics for women’s group, especially talking about how we are daughters of the Most High King. Since I went back to work this school year I miss the speakers that come to my women’s group at church. I would love to read Cornhusker Dreams. As a Midwest girl I enjoy historical books set here.

I love speaking to groups about our identity. It is so pivotal to our relationships with God. Good luck with school!

  8. There are two that jumped out at me: Bookclubs- I just started a bookclub where I work and think it would great to get an author to visit or speak with us via phone or internet. I noticed that you are in Lafayette, IN. I live in Hagerstown, IN and work in Indianapolis, IN. It is nice to find local authors.

School Age Children is the other one. I think this a fantastic idea. There is one girl I know that likes to write and also does some drawings. She does stories and comics. I would love to see her get published. I have also considered working with my kids on this. They are not school age yet, but would love to get the wheels turning. My son comes up with little stories every once in a while, but I am not able to catch them on paper. I guess I need to keep a pen and paper handy so I can and let him and his sister do the drawings.

  9. I would like to read any of your historical fiction books. That is definitely my favorite genre of fiction. Canteen Dreams looks interesting. I’ll have to pick that one up at my library to read this summer.

  13. I think the website is very good. I would like to read A Wedding Transpire on Mackinac Valley. I have read the first two of the Ladies of Summerhill books and am looking for the third one.

  14. I think I have read just about all your books except “A Wedding Transpires…” That would be great to have when we go on vacation next month!

  15. Stars in the Night

Hubby, oldest daughter and youngest sons are attorney’s.

  16. I would be interested in hearing how you do it, how you are able to truly enjoy your family, church and career with your schedule. Being an author, teacher, wife, mom, speaker, women’s ministry leader sounds as if you have absolutely no time for you how do you find balance.

  17. Wow, this is so gorgeous!! Really love the contrast of the black & white versus the pretty red shoes, VERY nice 🙂 Thanks so much for the generous giveaway, how exciting! Would love to win A Wedding Transpires on Mackinac Island, blessings Cara 🙂

  18. I would love to hear your talk about Homeschooling Mamas and Their Teens.

I have been a homeschooling mom of for many years, and now 2 teens (14,and 17), the other children are 11, 9, and 6. It can be overwhelming, and is difficult to get away to conferences or just to get together with other homeschooling moms.

  19. Rather than posting a reply for each question, I’m going to combine them here:
I’ve read A Wedding Transpires on Mackinac Island (and enjoyed it very much). Your other books look good as well, but I’d especially like to read Stars in the Night and Cherry Blossom Capers.
I didn’t find anything on the website that didn’t work.
The speaking topic I’m most interested in is the one for women’s retreats.
Thanks for giving away these books! Your new site looks great; I especially like the red shoes in the header.

  20. Nice website! I especially like the bright red shoes that “pop!” Everything I looked at seemed to work well. Thanks for the giveaway!

  21. Pretty webpage – found nothing that didn’t work. I always enjoy hearing authors speak at women’s conferences – love conferences! Haven’t read any of your books yet, but looking forward to becoming acquainted with your books. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!

  22. I don’t homeschool but we have a large group of ladies at my church who do. They also love to use our church library.

  23. Well . . . I should have read all the questions before I commented! I read and loved Stars in the Night. Haven’t yet read Mackinac Island, but it’s on my list. And I loved the presentation you did last year at ACFW–I took tons of notes that I still refer to.

  24. Cara, I love the web design! Especially the shoes!!!

Thank you for this opportunity to win some wonderful books!!

  25. I am looking forward to reading A Wedding Transpires on Mackinaw Island. I love to read Christian Fiction.

  26. I’d love to read, “Stars in the Night”! I am looking forward to when your books go “audible”!

  27. I love the look of your website. It is very clean and crisp looking. I took the time to read about each of your books. Now I’m going to have to figure out a budget that will let me buy as many of them as are available.

    1. I didn’t see that there were multiple questions.
Everything on the website works for me.
I’ve never read any of Cara’s books. I have Sandhill Dreams in eBook and will be getting to it soon.
For the speaking topics: who we are as daughters of the Most High King.

  28. I’d love to read Stars in the Night! LOVE the red shoes…they really “kick” it up! Also, love hearing other women speak from their heart about things that they have gone through and seen the Lord meet them where they are and helped them in their own personal journey.

  33. I certainly would enjoy winning a summer read! New site looks nice.

You always post good comments; always watch for anything new.

  34. I lived in Lafayette, IN from 1965-1970 while my husband attended Purdue. I worked for Purdue in the Executive Building and made a life long friend there who was also a student wife. We have fond memories from those years of our lives.

    Red shoes catch the eye!

  35. I would LOVE to win a copy of your book A Wedding Transpires on Mackinac Island!!!!! I would, of course be extremely happy to win any book, but I am so interested in this one!!!

  36. I would love to read the Mackinac Island one, because I have been there a couple of times. It is quite an enchanting place.

  37. I think your topic of how we can find God in those darkest times would be a good one right now for so many people I know. It seems almost everyone that is close to me at the moment has health problems.

  38. I have read most of your books and they are all wonderful. I have not read A Wedding Transpires so that would be the next book on my list.

I have heard you speak and you are a wonderful speaker. I you would do wonderfully speaking to children, too.

  39. I loved your book Trial by Fire! It’s one of my favorites. A Wedding Transpired on Mackinac Island sounds great! Hopefully I’ll get to read it soon (hint, hint). 🙂
The other books you’re giving away sound awesome, too! I love Mary Connealy’s books and Jillian Kent’s book also sounds like it’d be something I’d really enjoy (I love historicals).

    1. Oops! I didn’t realize I was supposed to be answering questions! At least I managed to answer one by accident! 🙂
To answer another, I haven’t found anything that doesn’t work on your website.
