The ACFW Conference starts at the end of this month, and I cannot wait! Each year Laurie Tomlinson has hosted a mix & mingle, so attendees can get to know each other before we arrive. This year Janine Rosche has done it, and I’m delighted to take part. If you’d like to join, there are instruction on Janine’s post. Here …

You Do You…Part 1
Do you ever get a recurring message that indicates a new theme in your life?
It’s like God is walking you into a place where He wants to show you part of who you are that you just haven’t been able to grasp. So in His grace, He has it collide from all sides until you have to throw your hands up and say, “okay, God, I’m listening. Help me understand.”
The one He seems to be asking me to embrace right now is this: You Do You.
Fiction Friday: It’s a Smorgasborg
Today I wanted to highlight a few different books. As you know, I read widely in lots of different genres. This collection of books reflects that. I’ve got a romantic suspense mixed with a rom com and a general market mystery. A little bit of this, a dash of that, and a sweetner or two. I’d love to know what …

Two weeks later our oldest starts her sophomore year at Purdue. There’s so much I still want to do, but the reality is days are ticking down. But it also means many of us have some sort …
Touring the Bookstores of Florence + Giveaway
This morning, I’m sweating in Florence, Italy. It’s supposed to hit 105 degrees, without the humidity added in. It’s hard to be too miserable as long as there is plenty of shade and water. This year while I’ve taught study abroad in Florence, I’ve been popping in and out of a lot of fun bookstores. I don’t think I’d realized …

Walking Tour of Florence
Today I’d like to take you on a walking tour of Italy. The last week of my stay, I was on my own. Being me, that meant finding reasons to walk as far as I could. On this particular day I actually got out a tour book and selected a walking tour that would take me to some sites I already knew and a few that I didn’t.
