Oh my gosh, guys! I loved this military thriller with hints of romance. Ronie Kendig has made her place in fiction with novels that have high octane military action, and Conspiracy of Silence is a FANTASTIC addition. This novel has political overtones, Biblical archaeology threads, and the military, globe-jumping pacing. There is a fantastic, reluctant team that comes together to …
Fiction Friday: Three Book Smorgasborg
Today, I want to introduce you to three books I have enjoyed…and they are all unique. Gotta love that. A bit of something for everyone. There the sweet contemporary romance Where Two Hearts Meet, which is a vacation to Prince Edward’s Island. Then there’s Julie Klassen’s latest Regency novel The Innkeeper of Ivy Hill, which is much more than a romance. It’s a richly layered story with a host of characters telling their stories. And last there is the Domino Effect, something of a financial thriller, with a love interest. All unique but good.
5 Ways to Write More than One Book at a Time
I have often written multiple books at the same time. It’s a part of life when one of your hats is professional writer. But it can also be a real part of the writing journey when you’re getting started writing. The challenge is learning how to juggle the multiple characters, plots, and timelines. Here are a few tips I’ve developed over the years to let me do exactly that:
Fiction Friday: Of Stillness and Storm and Portrait of Emily Price
This week I want to introduce you to Of Stillness and Storm and A Portrait of Emily Price. Each book is like taking a vacation without leaving home. One takes you to the wilds of Nepal, while the other takes you to Tuscany. Both also take you into the questions we ask ourselves, whether we admit it or not. What do we do …
2017 Word: How do you find yours?
The calendar has flipped to a new month and year. Ready or not, we are embarking on the new year, a chapter in the book of our lives. I’m trying to be intentional about how I embark on this new year. One way I do that is by asking God if there is a theme He wants to work …
Christmas Gifts that Inspire
It’s almost Christmas which means it’s almost time for 2017. That means a time for new dives into our faith and hearing what God has for us. If you’re like me and you’ve followed God for years or most of your life, then sometimes it can be a challenge to slow down and think about what His word says in …
Christmas Prayers
If you feel anything like I do right now, there’s probably a strong hint of overwhelmed lingering in your heart. Even if you try to avoid it, it sneaks in. May these prayers and graphics bring moments of peace in the midst of the chaos.
Encouragement for Today: Images for You
I love creating images that point us to Jesus. In a world that so often distracts and creates division, my goal is to be a person who reminds you of our hope in Jesus. That in a world gone mad, He is our source and where we find our identities. So this week, I wanted to share a few more …
Fiction Friday: Two New Favorites
Today I get to bring you two new books from two of my go-to authors: Susan May Warren and Sandra Orchard. Trust me when I say you will love one, if not both, of these books and authors. And if you’ve never tried these talented writers, here’s your chance! Be sure to read to the end for a giveaway! Love …
Some Reminders of Our Hope: Images for You
Some days I need more reminders of God’s goodness and faithfulness. Some weeks are just hard. We’ve certainly been put through the ringer as a country. So today I wanted to give you some of my favorite verses in a form you can put in front of you in case you need the reminders, too. Need hope? Some reminders of the …
