The Targeted Reaches 50 Reviews, a Giveaway & Lethal Intent on Sale

Caragiveaways, reviews; 2 Comments

I’m popping in today to share a sale. As always confirm that Lethal Intent is still on sale. These sales come and go and I don’t always know when that will happen. If you haven’t read Lethal Intent, a legal suspense that Lisa Scottolini loved, this is a great time to pick it up. I loved writing this book that explores the intersection of law and medical research, as well as a friends-to-more romance.

I also wanted to invited you to celebrate a large milestone for The Targeted! We’ve reached more than fifty reviews on Amazon.

Why Your Words Mean the World to Me (and Other Readers!)

Whenever a new book launches into the world, it is always a mix of excitement and anticipation. But one of the absolute best parts of this author journey is connecting with you. Every time you finish a book and take a few moments to leave a review, it feels like we’re sitting down for a great chat about characters, suspense, and the twists that kept you reading. I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has shared their thoughts recently—your support truly fuels my writing hours.

I spent time yesterday sitting down and reading many of the reviews posted on Amazon. I know many writers find that hard to do, but for me, it’s an important part of the conversation. I highly value knowing what you think and how you see my books.

If you’ve ever wondered whether your reviews actually matter, I want to reassure you that they are absolute gold. Beyond making my day, reviews are the lifeblood for authors in today’s busy book market. They act as a beacon for online algorithms, helping new readers discover these stories. Even a quick, two-sentence note about what you enjoyed helps retailers know a book is worth sharing.

So, if you’ve loved a recent release, would you consider leaving a quick review on Amazon or Goodreads? Your words help keep these stories alive and growing. They are also so key to other readers discovering my books.  Thank you for being such an incredible part of this community!

Are you wondering how to write a review?

Here are some quick tips for writing a review that is quick, easy, and honest:

  • Keep it short and sweet: A great review only needs to be two or three sentences. You don’t need to summarize the whole plot—just a quick snapshot of your experience reading it is perfect.

  • Focus on feelings over analysis: Readers want to know how the book made you feel. Did it keep you up past your bedtime turning pages? Did you love the tension between the main characters? Was it suspenseful and twisty?

  • Answer one simple question: If you’re stuck, just answer: Who would you recommend this book to? (e.g., “Perfect for anyone who loves a fast-paced legal thriller with a lot of heart.”)

  • No spoilers, please: Keep the mystery alive for the next reader! If a twist completely shocked you, it’s great to say, “I never saw that ending coming!” without giving away the details.

  • Star ratings matter too: If you’re completely short on time or words, leave a simple star rating on Amazon or Goodreads or other bookstores still does wonders for helping readers discover the book.
