  1. Hi Ladies!
There’s so much I love about Christmas, decorating, buying, wrapping and giving gifts, mailing and receiving cards, even the fun parties with family and friends.

But my very most favorite thing is the daily anticipation of celebrating who’s coming, Jesus, my Savior, God’s amazing gift to us! With every Christmas song I sing I feel it, that Joy to the World, the Lord is come!

  2. There truly is a “Holiday Spirit”! It infuses all of your senses with enjoyment and wonder. Everything comes together with a reminder of the real reason for the season–it’s a physical and spiritual experience like nothing else!

  3. My favorite part of Christmas is the hymns proclaiming Jesus’ birth, decorating the tree, baking cookies, and spending time with family.

  4. I love the Christmas lights and decorating the house. Watching our grandchildren
opening their yearly Christmas ornaments. Decorating the Christmas tree with the grandchildren and the excitement of unwrapping each ornament from past years
and hanging them on the tree. The wonder of the season and why we celebrate celebrate our precious Lord!

  5. My favorite part of Christmas is spending time with loved ones. Hubby and I both love to bake so we spend a lot of time in the kitchen making goodies to share. Giving gifts made with love to those that appreciate the work that’s gone into them is priceless to me. We visit the elderly and home-bound taking them little packages of our homemade goodies and visiting with them at at time that a lot of them seem to be forgotten. The smile it brings to their faces is the best gift we can get in return. After all Christmas shouldn’t be about packages, boxes and bags and doesn’t have to come from a store. Rather it should be about the true reason for the season and the love that was shown to us for us to share that love with others.

  8. I love the decorations, the music, the Christmas movies, the spiritual preparation, the joy of the season! (Oh and Christmas cookies πŸ˜‰ )

  9. My favorite part of Christmas is spending quality time with family as well as warming up by the fire with a good book and hot chocolate in hand!

  10. I have many favorites at Christmas. I love piling on our car to ho look at Christmas lights. There is a special place we go each year. The family has a spectacular display. Much better than the local parks because a lot of the lights this family displays, focus on the true meaning of Christmas. I also love snuggling under a blanket watching traditional favorites of Christmas movies. And if I get a chance, I love to go Christmas caroling. Christmas Eve spent with family is also a highlight. After eating, we try to quote/read Luke 2 – regarding the birth of Jesus.

  11. WOW! What a wonderful giveaway! Thank you! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» My favorite part about Christmas is the music, the lights, and time with family! πŸŽ„πŸŽ„

  12. My favorite part of Christmas is the worship services–singing Christmas carols, focusing on the Word of God, etc. My second most favorite part of Christmas is giving to those in need.

  13. It’s so hard to pick one thing for my favorite part of Christmas. I love spending time with our large extended family; sitting late at night, after the house finally quiets, and admiring the beautiful twinkling lights on our tree while listening to Christmas music play softly; the smell of freshly baked cookies mingled with the scent of pine; but mostly I love my increased awareness if what a precious gift was given to us by God.

  14. How does a girl choose a favorite? The lights, the songs, the cheesy Hallmark movies, the cookies, the gifts you feel bold to give to strangers, the smiles and good cheer!
Mostly, of course, The time of reflection on the massive sacrifice our Lord made for us- it’s beyond comprehension and too wonderful for description.

  15. Hmm, favorite part of Christmas? I love that we get to slip glimpses of heaven into the mainstream, and I’ve also realized that I really love Christmas trees. I love seeing them all around with their pretty lights and decorations.

Thanks for such a fun giveaway, ladies!

  16. My favorite part of Christmas is spending time with family. My siblings and their families all come on Christmas Eve and it is a special time. I also love seeing the looks on my girl’s faces on Christmas morning when I pull off the “best gift” surprise.

  17. The thing I love most about Christmas time is the way the air feels different – crisper because of the cold and brighter because of the snow and sunshine. I love the sensation of giving presents, the high that I feel from finding the perfect gift and watching someone unwrap it. I love the surprises of Christmas. I love the family time, baking, and eating delicious food. I love watching it snow from inside, wrapped in a blanket by a fire with a book in my hands. And I love that this time of year, we get to celebrate the birth of my Savior, the joy that Jesus brought to this world, and the hope that it instills in me.

  18. My favorite part of Christmas is gathering with family and frienfs and reflecting over the memorirs from the year…then sharing our hopes and aspirations for the coming year. This year another favorite will be the excitement of seeing my GrandNiece enjoying all the lights, music, and fun!

  19. This giveaway is amazing! I love Christmas! I love the time with family, putting up nativity scenes and going Christmas caroling.

  22. This is a pretty tough year. Trying to focus on the Real Reason we celebrate. But thank you for this chance. πŸ™‚

    1. And my favorite part of Christmas is celebrating with family we don’t get to see often, this will be one of my nephews’ first Christmas, so I look forward to that joy! πŸ™‚

  23. Family time, Christmas carols, baking & giving away cookies, and all things mint + chocolate. And sweet giveaways like this!

  24. My favorite part of Christmas is our family tree trimming party we have around the 10th of Dec. Every year, and then Christmas dinner and family time with my adult kids, whenever we may have the time to celebrate it properly.

I adore the time back home with my siblings and their families. There are 27 of us at mom and dad’s and forty at my grandma’s. It’s awesome!

  25. The carols, the smell of Christmas candles, all kinds of peppermint goodness, snuggles with my daughters, but most of all, the gift of Jesus!

  26. One favorite thing about Christmas? Impossible! I love the music, the decorations, get-togethers with family and friends, celebrating the birth of our Savior, buying gifts for people, SNOW, Christmas movies and books, baking… I just love Christmas!

    1. Post
  27. I love getting together with family. This year will be especially great with my first nephew and niece who have arrived since last Christmas!

  28. My favorite part of Christmas is just enjoying the worship events like Advent Sundays, choirs that provide Christmas musicals or praise & worship in church, or watching Charlie Brown Christmas on DVD. Any activity that helps me grow closer in Jesus and help me celebrate His birth is something that is worth my time & effort.
Thanks for the chance at this give away!

love the way you phrase it: Any activity that helps me grow closer in Jesus and help me celebrate His birth is something that is worth my time & effort. I couldn’t agree more!

  29. My favorite part of Christmas is Advent . . .when I study the names of Jesus, pray and create all kinds of evangelical gifts/ornaments to give to those who serve me or I am lead to give. I am heading to my daughter’s graduation and will be making gifts along the way to share all along the road trip. I love the giving, pointing to the Savior who gave me so very much, including forgiveness, redeeming love, grace, hope, restoration, and reconciliation to name a few. So very much.

  30. We try to go to a few different church programs each year (other than our own). I love to see how other churches celebrate Christmas.

  31. I love everything about Christmas, but my favorite part is reading the Christmas story in the Scriptures with my family. Something SO special about that!

    1. Post

The younger kids and I started doing that today with an advent ornament set I found. Tomorrow we’ll start the adornaments as well. Love refocusing on the meaning of Christmas.

  32. My favorite part about Christmas is giving! Actually, I love to give year-round, but giving at Christmas seems more special somehow. I would love to win this giveaway because I would give all the books away as gifts!!

  33. I love how much love that goes around this time of year! I wish I could contain in a jar and open it up anytime of the year when I need it!

  34. maybe i should not answer this question….When a person is not in the right frame of mind, then they do not love anything about any holiday….especially Thanksgiving and Christmas….Thanksgiving was fine for me, but Christmas is not looking good…….a lot of time in my case it is because of pain. When you are in a lot of pain…nothing seems to go right…and you can not enjoy anything when it comes to being around people….So right not i can not say that i like anything that has to do with the holidays. When i am not in this mood, then i do love being around people.

  35. I love being reminded that one of The Savior’s names is Emmanuel, God With Us! Such tender comfort knowing, good times and tough times ~ He is WITH us.

Thanks for this giveaway. So many entering, but I’m hoping. We have a 93-year-old neighbor who can’t get out & loves to read. We keep her in good books. Definitely a challenge as she reads pretty fast. πŸ™‚

  36. I enjoy spending time with my family, decorating the house for Christmas, and watching my nieces open their presents. Besides Jesus birthday, it was my Mamaw Eva’s birthday. She would have been 90 this year. I would make sure we bought her a birthday and a Christmas gift. I miss her still

  37. The Christmas books and the Christmas music and the Christmas cookies and the Christmas lights and the Christmas decorations and the Christmas cheer and pretty much everything about Christmas is my favorite! It is my most favorite holiday and time of the year!

  38. Family and the food. The time of year to remember what a blessing family is and to indulge in the sweets you only make at Christmas! πŸ™‚

  39. Seeing my kids faces when they get something they asked for or watching them interact now that most of them are adults. I also enjoy the silence of winter, and yes, it’s there if one knows where to look.

  40. As a heads-up, the link to Beth Vogt’s facebook page didn’t work for me (“This page isn’t available. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed.”) Thanks for the giveaway! Have a blessed Christmas!

  41. My favorite part of Christmas is being with family and watching their expressions when you give them a gift from the heart! A chance to bring joy to others.

  42. My favorite thing about Christmas is brightening family and friends day with the sharing of the annual Christmas ornament I paint and the Chris card I make.

  43. I love all of Christmas except maybe some of the shopping. My favorite is when our whole family gathers on Christmas to open presents but only after my husband reads the Christmas story from Luke.

  44. This has been a pretty stressful year, I’ll admit. But the Christmas lights, the holiday services, the general goodwill all around….I’m starting to feel the joy of the season! Favorite part thus far has been the brief moments of peace at home and decorating our family Christmas tree.

Thanks so much for the holiday giveaway! This would be a pretty fabulous Christmas gift for some blessed reader πŸ™‚

  46. My favorite part of Christmas is having my family all together. One of my favorite traditions is going to our church’s Christmas Eve candlelight service!

  47. Wow, what a fabulous giveaway! Merry Christmas Grove Girls!

I love our Christmas Eve services, the beautiful Christmas music…hymns and inspirational/contemporary ones…certainly fills me with joy and the anticipation of our Savior’s birth! Love the gathering of family and friends as we share the joys of the season (and comfort each other missing loved-ones who have moved to Heaven) and the true meaning of Christmas.

My grandson (now 13!) loves to come over and put the Christmas tree up and decorate it, I love watching the joy he gets from doing this which gives me much joy in turn (however, I am the one who usually puts the decorations away and takes the tree down, guess it’s not as fun πŸ˜‰ ). We listen to Christmas music while putting up the tree. He also helps put up our Nativity. He loves to bake and helps me with baking the Christmas cookies, pies and breads as he is able.

  48. I actually love buying the perfect gifts for those on my list. Imagining their faces when they open it and how it will bless them is just very satisfying.

  49. My favorite part of Christmas? Everything! ^_^ I love the coziness and family time. Christmas music (such as O Come, O Come Emmanuel). And just that it’s supposed to be a season of joy and goodwill, where we reflect on Christ’s birth and God’s love for us. It’s a beautiful time.

Thanks for the giveaway opportunity! πŸ™‚

    Blessings and Merry Christmas!

  50. I understand your feelings. I was reading these comments just for fun…but when I read yours it hit home. I have been in chronic pain as well and it is really scary. You live minute to minute and nothing is the same as it used to be. Maybe Christmas, for us, is just about remembering Jesus’s birth and hoping that there will be an afterlife without pain, thanks to him. I wish we could all enjoy the carols, food and decorations to the fullest. That used to be my favorite part.

  51. My favorite part of Christmas is just the specialness of the season and that everyone is more in the joyful spirit during the time. I also love the special songs that honor Jesus and His birth.

  52. My favorite part of Christmas is how everyone is just a little bit kinder and more generous. And I don’t necessarily mean monetarily generous but generous with their time, their smiles, and their love.

  53. My favorite part of Christmas is family all together. Yes, I enjoy the music (For King and Country’s “Drummer Boy”… be still my heart!), the delicious cookies, the gorgeous lights, even some of the tacky lights, but family, that takes the top o’ the list! That we celebrate Jesus’s birth is ultimate, of course!
Thank you for a chance to win this awesome giveaway!
    Blessings and Merry CHRISTmas!

  54. I love so many of the traditions of Christmas: decorating the tree, Christmas movies, time with family, the food, and music! I love how this time of year reminds us of what is truly important. That even if you are going through a rough season there is always hope because of Jesus!

  55. my favorite part is making tamales with familia, delicious fun, everyone talking plus phones get put into a basket no text at tamale making time.

  56. First and foremost, celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus, and the hope He brings. Secondly, I love celebrating with family all things Christmas….the decorations, lights, music, movies, playing games together…the warmth, laughter and wonder of it all πŸ™‚

  57. My favorite part of Christmas is spending time with my aunts and uncles and cousins, who I don’t get to see very often!

  58. I would love to be able to go back in time when I was little and my family would gather around the Christmas tree & pass out gifts. Sadly, those days are long gone.

  59. Spending time with friends and family. I also love shopping for gifts for the people I love. I don’t like having to wrap the gifts, but I love the shopping and giving part. πŸ™‚

  60. I love everything about Christmas, the decorations, the cookie baking, carols, movies, books, buying presents for others, family time, although my son won’t be able to make it home this year, & most of all is the Christmas Spirit.

  61. My favorite part of Christmas is seeing so many people get into the “Spirit” of the season; how it truly should be year-round in my opinion. Giving, caring, joyous times; it seems like so many people are just happier.

  62. Wow, These are some of my very favorite authors. I would feel so blessed to win. Love you all, keep using Gods gift you’ve been given and thank you.

  67. I love getting together with family during Christmas. We always have breakfast, it just me, my husband, my son and daughter in law for now. But we eat, then open gifts on Christmas morning. Then since my parents are gone, we head to my sisters for an afternoon meal and gift exchanges. So much fun!

  71. Singing Christmas carols is one of my favorite parts of Christmas. I love how the music helps express the amazing truth of Immanuel– God with us!

  72. My favorite part of Christmas is reflecting on why we celebrate… That Christ was born to show us who He was, why God sent Him, what He came to do, and to give us the choice to ask Him into our hearts and lives to, not only guide us through life and hear our prayers, but to give us everlasting life in heaven. The family time, decorations with candles and lights, gift giving, and Christmas spirit are such a wonderful display of His love for us!!
