Wearing the Truth

I often talk about One Word and having a theme for your year. I think there is power in asking God what His word is for me. Asking Him to guide and direct me as I pursue Him in a new year. I’ll often do it through reading books and studying my Bible.
I also do it be wearing reminders. Yesterday I wore bracelets with a single word: Hope and Release. My necklaces said Brave and Kind. I wear them almost like beautiful, yet simple armor to remind me of who God says I am and who He says He is.
I love this necklace from Crowning Jewels. It’s one of my new favorites.
I’ve discovered two companies that make the necklaces and bracelets that I’m arming myself with. Crowning Jewels has an amazing blog, and the jewelry is elegant and meaningful.
A Gilded Line has such simple, yet elegant bracelets.
I also wanted to make sure you knew about A Gilded Line and her One Word special. Through the end of January if you buy a One Word bracelet ($12-16), she’ll include a second for free. Why? So that when you’re telling someone about the meaning of your bracelet, you can give it to them. I love the heart behind it. I’ve given many of her bracelets away, and love the simple, clean look. I just ordered mine for this year last night. I couldn’t pick one word, so will be getting two that say Restored and two with Beloved. I’m already praying about who I can give the extras to. Ironically, Beloved is the spiritual theme for the heroine in the book I’m writing. It’s always interesting to see how God parallels a character’s journey in my life…or I parallel the character’s journey with mine. Do you have something like these necklaces or bracelets that you wear to remind yourself who you are? I’d love to know! I’m always on the look out for small businesses with purpose that I can support. I’m giving away a bracelet from A Gilded Line below. Simply use the form to enter and tell me what word you would choose. Good luck! a Rafflecopter giveaway
