It’s book deadline day!

This next book will be headed to my editor at some point today. Woot, woot! Writing this one has been such a learning journey for me. Did you know that writers get to learn with each book they write? We do! And since it’s a day to celebrate be sure to go to the end to participate in a giveaway. I love books. You love books. I love to give books, and you love to receive books, so it sounds like a perfect way to celebrate!

A Fool & His Monet A Fool & His Monetis a delightful new book from Sandra Orchard. I absolutely love the voice of this first person mystery. Serena is one motivated art crimes agent with the FBI. She loves art and is determined to reclaim lost and stolen art. The voice of the protagonist (aka mystery solver) Serena Jones is pitch perfect. There’s the quirky aunt who seems to get in the way, but might actually be helping. A couple hunky guys who might make potential boyfriend material in future books. And a mystery that will keep the pages turning. Throw in art and unresolved issues that you know will be addressed in future books while A Fool & His Monet  wraps up one mystery nice and neatly, and it’s a book that leaves me eager to read the next installment. I think Serena Jones has become one of my new favorite heroines.

A Fool & His Monet is perfect for those who love a good mystery, a bit of art, and a cast of characters that will leave you ready to pick up the next book the moment it’s printed.

Sketchy politics and a palette of lies can’t stop Serena Jones from exposing the mastermind behind the daring theft of a priceless work of art

Serena Jones has a passion for recovering lost and stolen art–one that’s surpassed only by her zeal to uncover the truth about who murdered her grandfather. She’s joined the FBI Art Crime Team with the secret hope that one of her cases will lead to his killer. Now, despite her mother’s pleas to do something safer–like get married–Serena’s determined to catch thieves and black market traders.

When a local museum discovers an irreplaceable Monet missing, Serena leaps into action–and a whole heap of trouble.

“Completely delightful! A Fool and His Monet is laugh-out-loud funny! Readers who love Stephanie Plum will delight in Serena Jones. An engaging and charming read–I can’t wait for more!”–Susan May Warren, RITA Award-winning and bestselling author of the Christiansen Family series

  1. I don’t really have many deadlines in my life, but celebrating with chocolate and a new book to read would work for me.
